Overwhelming Dominance From Shadow Push Kings to the Brink w/Broadcast

The overwhelming dominance displayed by the Michigan Shadow (17-8-0, 6-2) during their MIHL Finals trip to Traverse City (as the road team) made it easy to forget that the Kalkaska Kings (21-3-1, 2-2) were riding a 12-game winning streak. The hope for the road squad is to usually split, and maybe to an extent that’s exactly what they did to their opponent.

This 2026 battle for the Bill Long Memorial Cup is nothing like the five-gamer (consecutive one-goal epic) of 2025... and that’s ok. But Kalkaska needs to regroup in the worst way and hope that Michigan is too busy planning a celebration prior to Saturday. Check out the latest coverage from the weekend, with some tidbits included that any sports fan shouldn’t miss here.
